This picture may have been taken after consumption of Butterbeer at the 300 year old pub down the road.
So basically I am absolutely shocked that Trevor and I have been here in London, the land where witches and wizards roam amongst us muggles, for over a week and we have yet to see the obligatory Harry Potter fan-sites. Well I am happy to inform you all that as of this evening we have satisfied out inner child. Yesterday we went up to Kings Cross train station where, if you're familiar with the books, you know is the location of Platform 9 3/4, and is the entry way to the Wizard world. While seeking out the platform we saw Tonks and Mad Eye so we knew we were on the right track; they must have been attending to some important Order business. Needless to say, we found the platform and were able to enter their world - or should I say, our world.
Upon entry, we quickly found ourselves in a compromising situation. Harry and the rest of Dumbledore's Army were practicing their spells and BAM, we just apperated into the middle of it all. What happened next was the biggest shock of all: Trevor, being the sneaky so-and-so he is, took some poly juice potion and transformed himself into You Know Who. He was just trying to give everyone a light scare (like eating those candies that make you roar like a lion or yell like a monkey) but it turned into a full on dual between Harry and Trevor. As you can see from the pictures above, he was extremely convincing as he had Voldemort's actual wand in his possession.
Once everyone realized what was going on, they calmed down. Fortunately it was just in time to hear Umbridge walking down the hall. Harry threw his invisibility cloak over the lot of us and we made our way out into the grounds where we were permitted to be. See the picture above? We're standing just to the right of the fountain where all those footprints are, but obviously you can't see us. Duuu.
Anyway, that was out afternoon at Hogwarts*. We were pretty pleased at how it all turned out.
*Some incidents in this post may have been fabricated for the sake of storytelling. Actual evens may include, and are not limited to exaggeration of everything. For example: we saw a dodgy homeless man and a woman with purple hair on the subway; found the fake platform 9 3/4 no where near the real platform 9; went to a toy store and played with replica wands while swapping stories with the friendly sales clerk; and went to Oxford for the day and took pictures of the courtyard where they filmed some scenes for the movies.

Brilliant post!!!!
I do have to say that you are a complete dork. But, so am I, so I guess you are in good company. I had no idea that that is where they filmed the movie. And, as always, I am jealous.
This is such a clever post. I loved it. Sounds as though you are enjoying every single second.
Love you.
